On Friday, September 26, 2025, all friends, relatives, players, and the entire tchoukball community were able to say goodbye to our greatly respected coach, player, organizer, and\u2014sadly\u2014friend, father, and husband who left us far too soon.

Stefan built a large international tchoukball network, organized tournaments, served on the board of ASC Weimar, and was brimming with tchoukball passion in every respect. This made it all the more difficult for the speakers at the memorial service to find the right words. In a very dignified atmosphere, those present were able to express their grief, share moments of silence, or reminisce together.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, the traditional 4-T\u2019s tournament was originally supposed to take place in Weimar. However, due to Stefan\u2019s sudden passing, the tournament was canceled. Instead, players gathered for a special memorial tournament \u2014 dedicated to the sport Stefan loved more than anything else: Tchoukball<\/strong>.
The day began at 10:00 a.m. with the first matches played in a 2 \u00d7 15-minute format. First, the team from Erfurt faced the team from Essen, followed by a match between Essen and ASC Weimar, who fielded a mixed lineup from their first and second teams. But on this day, the results were not the focus \u2014 it was all about the joy of playing together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the first matches, all players gathered in the middle of the hall \u2014 former players, youth, and active adults alike. In the classic formation of left attack, defense, and right attack, five mixed teams were formed, which then played short games against each other. The result was fair and balanced matches, free from any sense of competition \u2014 carried by mutual respect and a shared passion for the sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
