On October 18, 2025, the boards of the two German tchoukball associations (DDT and DTBV) met for an initial exchange of ideas at the TuS Oekinghausen clubhouse on Johanneshöhe in Halver. The main question to be explored is how a reunification under one umbrella organization might be achieved.
The DDT’s vision is to align itself with the sports structures commonly established in Germany. This includes dedicating club activities to children’s and youth sports, building strong teams, founding regional associations where possible, and ultimately competing with high-performance teams at international championships. Team spirit and the internationally communicated values of tchoukball guide all actions.
However, there is not yet sufficient common ground on the part of the DTBV. Regardless, both boards intend to maintain contact. The DDT plans, in the near future and ideally together with the DTBV, to reach out to all tchoukball-playing clubs in Germany to discuss the unsatisfactory situation and explore solutions that can gain broad support.
