On December 13 and 14, 2025, youth teams of the National Federation of German Tchoukball (DDT) took part in the Junior Tournament of the Geneva Indoors in Geneva. The internationally attended event spanned two tournament days and gave our players the opportunity to compete against peers from numerous nations.
Saturday, December 13 – Boys’ & Girls’ Tournament
On Saturday, the boys’ and girls’ tournament took place. Germany was represented on this day by the Blue Teens of SG Urbich 1984 e.V. in the U14 age category. In a strong field of 14 teams, including teams from Hong Kong, Hungary, Switzerland, and Spain, the Blue Teens achieved an impressive 6th place.
Sunday, December 14 – Mixed Tournaments
Sunday was dedicated to the mixed tournaments. Here, too, the Blue Teens of SG Urbich 1984 e.V. competed again in the U14 age category and finished 16th out of 29 participating teams.
Also on Sunday, ASC Weimar competed in the U16 age category and finished 13th out of 19 teams. In the U18 category, the Fanta 7 of SG Urbich 1984 e.V. represented the DDT and secured a strong 5th place out of 12 teams.
On both tournament days, the field was highly competitive and internationally represented — with teams from Spain, Singapore, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, Poland, and other nations.
We are proud of our youth!
Across all age categories, our teams gained valuable playing experience, encountered different playing styles, and had the opportunity to showcase themselves on the international stage. The DDT is pleased with the committed participation of its clubs and the visible development of German tchoukball’s youth.
