Since June 2025, the DDT has made extensive efforts to work together with the DTBV to develop a strategy for resolving the ongoing disputes. Several attempts to identify a constructive way forward have unfortunately not been successful. The hope of restoring unity within German tchoukball through a mediation agreement supported by the FITB ultimately came to an end following the 8th General Assembly of the DTBV.
One of the key requirements of the mediation agreement was the admission of TC Essen e.V., Hochschulsportverein Neubrandenburg e.V. (HSV) and the Thüringer Tchoukball Verband e.V. (TTBV) as members of the DTBV at its next General Assembly. However, only TC Essen e.V. was admitted. The application of HSV Neubrandenburg was rejected by a majority vote without any explanation, while the admission of the TTBV was not included on the agenda at all.
In response, the FITB informed both the DTBV and the DDT of its preliminary determination to suspend the membership and provided an opportunity to remedy the non-compliance with the mediation settlement agreement.
